VISITORS WITH A HANDICAP
Information & tips for carefree leisure fun

As handicapped-accessible leisure and adventure park we would like to make the stay for guests with a handicap as comfortable and carefree as possible. In order to offer you already in the run-up an overview of the offers and facilities of the Holiday Park for handicapped people we have arranged some information for you in the following, which are to facilitate your stay.

 

We wish you a nice stay full of experiences and adventures in our Holiday Park! 

 

Accessibility

With the exception of the riding attractions which are not admitted for handicapped people (see point “attractions”), the paths in the Holiday Park are correspondingly wide and accessible to the greatest possible extent. Stairs are only on the connecting path between the Devil’s Barrels and the Spinning Barrels.

 

 

Attractions

For all attractions applies: for their own safety the passengers have to be in a position to hang on independently, to sit safely and independently and to keep their body under control.

 

For security reasons the following attractions are not admitted for handicapped guests:

  • Expedition GeForce
  • Free Fall Tower
  • Superwirbel
  • Bounty Tower
  • Teufelsfässer
  • Holly's Wilde Autofahrt
  • Lighthouse Tower
  • Donnerfluss

 

Visitors with a limp should enter the following riding attractions through the exit for their own comfort – our employees are pleased to help you:


• Castle Falkenstein: please get in contact with the staff of the soft ice cream stand in the Palatine Village or in the amusement arcade ”Pferdederby“.
• Spinning Barrels
• Dancing Pavilion    

 

Car parks

You will find a parking area for handicapped persons on the huge visitor parking area in close proximity to the main entrance. Persons suffering from walking disabilities with a corresponding parking permit are eligible to park there.

 

 

Entrance/ exit

For wheelchair users special passages are available at the main entrance. Simply contact our employees on the spot. The regular exit is also suitable for wheelchair users. For electric wheelchairs the wider exit at our information is recommended (next to the Holly wells in the Children’s Land).

Wheelchair Users and blind personas

EUR 15,00

on submission of the identification document. One accopmpanying person has to pay EUR 20,00.

 


Group Prices: 

       

Groups of handicapped people

EUR 14,00

from 6 paying persons onwards. The tour guide and the tour bus driver get free entrance. Each further escort pays 20,00 €.

First aid

The ambulance station is located next to the Holly fontain. There a trained emergency medical technician/ paramedic is available to you during the opening hours, among others, with an electric ambulance vehicle and defibrillator. 

 

Information

In the entrance area of the park – directly after the ticket validation system – there are park maps at your disposal free of charge. There disabled toilets and the first aid station are recorded. In case of questions please simply contact the next Holiday Park employee. 

 

Restaurants

Not only the self-service restaurant “Pfalzgraf“ but also the restaurant with table service  ”Burgschänke“ in the Palatine Village are accessible. This also applies to snack bars and snack points in other parts of the park.
If there are any bottlenecks and queues in the queuing up area, the service employees are pleased to help you and bring the meals to the tables and/ or pre-cut dishes on demand.
In both restaurants in the Palatine Village as well as at most of the snack bars and snack points the seating can freely be moved. At the following snack bars the seating is tightly screwed together: devil’s snack and storm ship snack.

Shows

In order to facilitate wheelchair users a carefree visit of our shows special areas are reserved at the venues. Simply contact the employees at the entrance. For a comfortable and smoothly  introduction we would like to ask you to be at the venue at least ten minutes before a show.

 

Not only the Aqua Stadium but also the show tent at the Balloon Race have a separate entrance for wheelchair users. The entrance for wheelchair users of the Aqua Stadium is located in the middle of the Lighthouse Tower and the main entrance of the Aqua Stadium  (please ring the bell).

 

As a precaution we have to advise against the following attractions for all epileptics and people who suffer from distortion of perception:


  • Water stunt show in the Aqua Stadium (use of pyrotechnics and loud acoustic effects)
  • Amaceon (laser and light effects)
Toilets

All over the park there are handicapped accessible sanitary facilities. These are recorded in the “show times“ to be found at the entrance and are located at the following positions:


• in the base camp of the “Expedition GeForce“
• at the restaurant “Pfalzgraf“ in the Palatine Village  
• Holly's Cartoon Town
• under the main entrance of the Aqua Stadium

Wheelchair hiring

For visiting the Holiday Park you can hire a wheelchair at our ambulance station free of charge. However, since only a limited number of wheelchairs is available, we recommend a previous reservation by telephone at our information office under the number 06324-5993-318.
